Cultivating Patience and Compassion Through Meditation

It’s hard to be patient and compassionate these days. Patience and compassion are broad words that have many different meanings.  We are interested in how your understanding is experienced in meditation. You may notice these qualities in your sitting, or recognize them during the reflection period or even in your daily lives. All these ways are important.  There isn’t any preference for one over the other.

In this series of classes, we’ll explore how to enhance these qualities through a particular mindfulness meditation practice. You don’t have to have previous meditation experience to take this class.

We’ll examine how patience and compassion arise in our mindfulness practice and what conditions enhance and enlarge those experiences. What mind states are connected with patience and compassion?  How do we see it in our daily lives? You’ll enhance your ability to be patient and compassionate in this crazy world!

Classes will be held for 4 Tuesdays, starting September 26 and ending Tuesday, October 17th, 2023. We will meet on Zoom from 2 – 3:30 pm EST. I will send you a link prior to the first class.

Suggested donation: $60 – $140. No one will be turned away for financial reasons.
