Patience and compassion are broad words that have many different meanings. We are interested in how your understanding is experienced in meditation. You may notice these qualities in your sitting, or you may recognize them during the reflection period or even in your daily lives. All these ways are important. There isn’t any preference for one over the other.
In Reflective Meditation, we notice when these qualities arise naturally even if it’s just a moment or two. Describing your experience, what it means to you, and listening to others’ descriptions will help you clarify your understanding and experience.
In this series of 5 classes we look at how patience and compassion arise in ours meditation and what conditions enhance and enlarge those experiences. What mind states are connected with patience and compassion? How do we see it in our daily lives?
This class is open to people familiar with Reflective Meditation. Classes are held throughout the year.
